Real Stories from Real Teens

We love to hear stories of God moving and working in the lives of young believers. These are real life stories our teen friends have sent to us to share wtih you. Hopefully these stories will encourage you, inspire you, and remind you that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Want to tell your story?

Here are a few tips as you start thinking about telling your story:

  1. Find a tagline for you and God. Is there a word or phrase or song lyric that might best describe how God has affected your life?
  2. Keep it short and simple. Think only of facts and details that are essential to telling your story. Bunny trails are fun and all, but we want to keep to the point when we've only got a couple minutes of someone's attention. What were you like before Jesus? How did you meet Him? How has he changed you?
  3. Avoid "Christianese". Maybe you've heard this language in church or youth group or missions camp. Words like "testimony", "repentance", "sin", or "born again". People who haven't grown up in church may have no context for this kind of jargon and get confused or turned off. Vincent Van Gogh once said, "How difficult it is to be simple." Just tell your story like it is. No flowery words necessary.

We are super excited to hear your story and share it with others. Think about what you might say if you could share your story, and let us know!
