The Balcony

Sometimes all hope requires is one note.

Perfect for this week's World Suicide Prevention Day, I present to you a short film created by the independent filmmakers at Phantom Moose Films. "The Balcony" tells the story of a girl struggling with depression and a discouraged violinist who find hope together through an anonymous duet in a darkened auditorium.

The director, Kendra Ness, said that she hoped the film would "be an encouragement to anyone who struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts... Life is precious, folks. Savor the beautiful things. A glint of sunlight, a fluffy kitty, or maybe this short film that might make you smile."

Tomorrow will come as always. Will you join me there?
